So some of you may wonder where I have been. Well I can't say I have a great excuse other then the fact that at this moment in time "my" computer has been hi-jacked. Well lets just say our home has 2 computers and at the time being Fernando's computer is out of commission...so you ask what does that mean?? Well that means I go without. Yes I know I should put my foot down and say its mine and Fernando should go with out, but well...I just don't have that in me. Its a tough life I live to go without a computer, but I am making it through.
Anyway with all that being said. I need to catch up on a few things these past few months. First we had some birthdays that were celebrated. We had my cute nephew Cameron turn 4 in October, and he thinks he is such a big boy now. We had a wonderful time celebrating his birthday with him, and I will include some pictures in a post to follow.
November, was packed with Birthday's as well. My mom's birthday who just happens to be the best mom in the whole wide world was on November 9th and then following hers was Fernando's who is the best husband in the world. We then had Matt's come the following week so needless to say we had a busy first part of the month with birthdays.
For Fernando's birthday and just because we decided to take a road trip to Las Vegas. We thought it would be fun to go and enjoy the warmness of Nevada and enjoy each others company as well. We went with some friends of ours Breck and Johanna, and had a great time. On the way down we were able to stop at In-N-Out...which is good, but not all its hyped up to be. OK that is my opinion so please don't throw darts at me Breck. After stopping in St.George to enjoy some burgers we finished our journey on to Vegas. We got in probably about 10 or so and stopped at the grocery store for some snacks and breakfast food. Got back to the condo and decided it was time to go to bed. Guess we aren't as young as we used to be, because we all seemed really warn out from the drive and we were all ready for bed. So no exploring went on that night. Friday night we were able to enjoy the Excalibur Tournament of Kings show,(something Fernando wanted to do for his birthday) and it was fun. I actually lost my voice cheering for our Knight. It was so funny walking around after trying to talk, but not a whole lot was coming out. Fernando and Breck then played a rousing game of air hockey, which if you know Fernando and Breck its starts off as just a friendly game then turns into best 2 out of 3. Lets just say I am glad that Jo and I did not have any extra quarters or one dollar bills on us or we would have been there for a lot longer. OK..I actually have to go at this moment, but I will be back and finish up this post in a little bit. Sorry about this pause.

M.I.A....nahhh just L.A.Z.Y
So here are the past months in a nut shell.
June we celebrated my lil'sisters birthday. That would be Cindy. Yes I know she is taller, but yes she is younger. She celebrated the big 24. Fernando and I hosted the Birthday at our home so we had to make sure and have the silly straws and all the fixins for a great Birthday. I hope she had a wonderful day, and thanks for being such a wonderful sister.

June was also filled with many other things...
Melisa and Kevin were sealed to their two newest additions for time and all eternity. Look how cute these children are as well as innocent.

Getting Crafty...well sorta
So a co-worker, and friend of mine is pregnant and will be having her third child very soon. Hopefully sooner then later, and well with it being her third most people are not to keen on the idea of throwing a baby shower. So with that being said, I could not allow for that. Being as I am the third child in my family, and well we don't want this little girl to have the same complex that I do. OK I really don't have that bad of a complex, but I think I didn't get a few things because I was the third. Anyway we went ahead and organized a surprise shower for her. It was great.
I took it upon myself to get crafty and create something for her. So I thought I would make a cute little letter "E" for the little one to come (Elexys). Well I think I bit off more then I can chew. So I had to attempt this more then once. I only burned myself once on the glue gun, so not to terrible.
Here is the finish project.

And Elisha's reaction.

Lacking Motivation.
Ok ladies and maybe the few gentlemen out there that read this. I am lacking motivation. Yes yours truly is lacking motivation. I am lacking the motivation to eat right; I am lacking the motivation to work out.
I want to be thin and healthy, but lack the motivation to want to do anything to accomplish this task. I don’t know what to do. I hate being in this slump, and I don’t know how to get out of it.
I signed up for the 5k this weekend, but really I more so did it because of peer pressure. Not that it is a bad thing to be peer pressured into, but really I have no desire to do it. Anyway thanks for letting me vent or somewhat sound off.

The Bathroom Mini Makeover
OK so some of you may know and some of you have even seen it, but our bathroom is something that well just makes you want to shut the door on it. Fernando and I (and others) have worked very hard throughout the upstairs of our home. Between painting, flooring and kitchen cabinets everything is looking updated and refreshed. Except for the dreaded bathroom. Yes the sore thumb to my beautiful upstairs. I have always been a little embarrassed of the bathroom and usually always caution those who would visit to please keep in mind the house is a work in progress. I know most people could careless, but for me it just bothered me. So I decided to take control of the situation. We don't have much $$ to put into the bathroom so it will have to be strictly cosmetic and hopefully just a little paint and things will finish it up nicely.
So I started looking around to see what I could find. I knew we still had some paint from the rest of the house so of course I will just use what I have, even though I know this is not the color that I want for my remodeled bathroom this will have to do for the mini makeover. So I took it upon myself to start on this aspect. What next? The cabinets. OK the cabinets are a very outdated wood color. OK the reason for description of wood color is because they are not actually wood. They are plastic (brought to me by the attention of Donette). Plastic cabinets, yes I know crazy. Anyway so something had to be done about this so I bought some spray paint and went to town, fumes and all. With a few glitches along the way they turned out OK.
Now the next project or eye sore is the sink. I would have to say that the sink is 30 years old along with the faucets, hard water and pipes. So what do you do in this case. Yeah I tried cleaning it with everything and anything, but it was not coming clean. So I decided to just take a chance and see what I could find on KSL. I mean a new sink was going to cost me $30 and then a faucet another $20 or so, and well its hard to justify that type of money when I know in a year or two we will be ripping the entire thing out to really remodel it. Well luck was on my side and I found a nice porcelain sink along with the faucet for $25. It was great so I pulled out the old one did a little plumbing underneath. Yes i would say the pipes underneath were probably 30 years old too. I went ahead and changed the drain pipes and put on new on/off valves and now everything is like new. Yes ladies I did this myself (ok lets give some credit to Fernando, one of the old pipes was rusted on so I did have him get that loose for me) other then that I did everything else. (Thanks dad for letting me watch all those years at home.)
So lets see now we have a fresh coat of paint a new sink, I removed the old mirror with the medicine cabinet underneath and now the flooring. The flooring is outdated, white and shows every little hair. So I went over to Lowes and found some peel and stick tiles and put them down. Wow what a change that did for the bathroom. Well I have done a few other things, but not quite done yet. I had to order a couple of accessories and am expecting to see those in the mail later this week. So as soon as it is all done I will post the finish project. I will have to tally everything together and let you know the final cost. But i have gone ahead and included some of the before pictures and will post the final pics in the next week or so. Sorry to keep you hanging.

Birthday come and gone, but this is what is left.
So my birthday was in February and being as we are in April now it has definitely come and gone. However as I have said before I have been a little slow to update. So here is a little insight to my birthday.
Fernando spoiled me and bought me the desk and shelves I have wanted for my sewing/craft/computer room. I fell in love with this setup after a trip to Ikea about a year ago, but new I would have to wait before it would make it to the top of the list of things to buy. So what better opportunity then to ask for it for my birthday. So with that being said and the hints that were made (basically me emailing the links to Fernando) he said it was mine for my birthday.
Yipppeee I was so excited I finally fill like I can start to organize things. So I have gone ahead and included some pics of putting the desk together, as soon as I finish organizing and sorting through all my stuff I will post pics of the room all put together.

Fernando working hard putting together the puzzle. I apologize for the spots my lens needed to be cleaned.

The finish product. Now its time to organize.

Time to catch up...
Well it has been a while since I have posted anything, and well it is about time I catch up on life.
So lets start off with how great of a wife I am. No brag just fact. I mean what wife would allow for 15-20 men to setup their computers in her house and play pc games in to the wee hours of the morning? Well yes that is me. Here is the proof.
Please do keep in mind one of the reasons Fernando agreed to this house was because it had a basement. One of the reasons I agreed to the "nerd fest" was because we have the basement.

Moment of Weakness.
Well I am still plugging along in this bootcamp experience. It amazes me that on my 4th week I am still sore. I still am able to be pushed to my limits as well as exceed my past limits. I am still feeling good when I go even though I drag my feet each day as I prepare to go. Getting to the gym is the most difficult thing for me each day. I try to think of every excuse in the book, but for some reason they are just not good enough. Fernando will just look at me in somewhat a disapointed look and I look back at him and say "fine I'll go", and just like that I am getting dressed and find myself at the gym.
I am always happy when I go, but can I just tell you that its not easy. This blog is turning into my exercise log and I apoligize for that, but I need to get this out and sometimes it helps to know that others are reading this and can relate. I know I cant give up. I want so much to reach my goals this time around.
I did have a moment of weakness today. I went downstairs to grab me a diet soda (needed a little extra pick me up) and for some unknown reason out of my mouth comes a large soda, and a side of hashbrowns. I went ahead and paid for them and waited for my order to be filled. As I was standing there thinking about what I had just done I think to myself, what have I just done. Am I really going to undo everything I have just done the night before. I yi yi what am I thinking I dont need these hashbrowns I have already ate breakfast and Im not hungry. Honestly my mind is trying to sabatoge me. SO as I am going up the elevator I think to myself I will give them to someone. Ok lets just say I work with two guys that basically are like my little brothers that I never had or wanted, so I offered the food to them. THey are great guys and always willing to help out their big sister...lol. THey took them without any hesitation. Fewwwww I passed the test of that moment of weakness. Now I just need to keep trying to pass these types of tests on a daily basis. I hope it gets a little easier.

Epiphany, at the age of 28.
So I learned something about myself today. Ok so actually this morning about 5:30 am. Lets set the tone hear. I was at the gym for about 30 minutes and the plan for the gym today was that we were supposed to do circuits today. Meaning you go from one machine to the next and perform the exercise. Great, I thought to myself I will start out on the treadmill and work my way around. All is going well, but then I soon realize that starting on one of the last treadmills has some huge disadvantages. Ok that means I am going to have to go to treadmill to treadmill until I have completed the workout on all 5 treadmills before I even move over to the actual strength training machines. So to you this might not seem like a huge task. Or some may say piece of cake, but can I just tell you when running at a speed of 5 my legs fill like j-ello. Oh yes side note you are not supposed to adjust the speed or incline on each treadmill. Each one set separately. So with that being said I am on my 4th treadmill and filling dead. Yes 30 minutes into the workout and my body is hating me. So I get to this treadmill at it is on an incline of 15 and a speed of 6. This is where the story gets good. I seriously look at it and decide I need to take the speed down a notch. Well this didn’t go over so well with my trainer. As he starts to walk over and states in a loud and stern voice nobody adjusts the speed or incline except me. He reaches over and starts to increase the speed. At this point with sweat running down my neck I look at him and say “screw you”. Yes can you believe it that is what little old Heather said. I was a little shocked, but oh I was sooo mad. I just glared at him. He adjusted my speed and said “push yourself” at this point all I could think is how much of a jerk he is. Oh I gave him the look you know the I am so mad at you if you were standing right next to me I might punch you look. So he let me be for a minute, and then he decided it was time to walk back over and talk to me again. Ohhhh now this didn’t go over well with me. I looked at him and said “ I am done, I am out of here”…as I got off the treadmill and headed to the break room to grab my stuff. Feww I thought to myself I will just walk out of here a 30 minute workout is good enough, and I have had enough today. Well that did not fly with him. So he talked to me he told me he was sorry if he offended me. I just listened. He told me that he knows I can push myself and how he doesn’t want me to get in the box and not break out of it. Yeah yeah yeah…I thought to myself. I was determined I was going to leave. He kept telling me don’t quit just get back out there and finish the hour. Ok so after swallowing my pride, because I am sure a few people noticed I walked back in and finished things out. Ok so for the next 30 minutes I started to think about what had just happened. What was really going on in my head. And here is the epiphany. I am mentally weak. This is the reason I am the way I am. I never realized how weak I am when it comes to overcoming physical things, but now as I look back every time I quit an exercise program was because it was too hard, and well I gave into myself. I couldn’t believe after 28 years I realized why I have never reached my goals of physical fitness. I am just weak, and now its time to work through this. Poor trainer who had to deal with me today. But don’t worry after the workout I did go over and apologize to him. He said no big deal he understands. Well I am happy I finished the hour out and well with results of 7.5 lbs lost in the last 2 weeks, I am going to have to keep going.

The beginning again!
So my lovely friend Daja talked me into signing up for Boot-Camp. Now its not boot-camp in the sense of I'm serving my country now. Its boot-camp in the sense of its time to get my butt kicked into gear. Check out the website. And if you decide to enroll, drop my name.

So with that being said I signed up on the 5th and then had my official start day on the 9th of February. Seriously what was i thinking. They strapped on a 25lb vest which put me over the 300lb mark. Yes i know I have really let things get out of control, but maybe just writing a few things here will keep me going.
The first week was one of the hardest, yet rewarding things I have ever done. I have not pushed myself so hard in a long time. They want me to journal all of my food and limit my calories and work hard. i must admit the first day doing it i was thinking to myself i actually am paying to torture myself. This is crazy! Its hard, it sucks, but i know its what has to be done. I want so much to be healthier, but gosh i guess i didn't realize just how out of shape I was until they put me on treadmill and wanted me to run. Are you kidding me I said, you really want me to run? Have you seen me? Have you seen how big I am, no seriously look at me. You want me to run...lol. Needless to say it was a long week with some pain, and I have found that ibuprofen is my one true friend. Now on to week 2, without the vest hopefully i will feel the difference. Although I did weigh in on Monday and well I am down 4lbs. Wahooo one step in the right direction.

Technical difficulties
I am trying to upload some pictures to go with my below post, but currently I am having some problems. So I will work on that and get back to you.
Catch up time...
Ok well its time I catch everyone up on life over the past few months. It sure does feel like I have to do this a lot, due to the fact that I am not in the best of habits when it comes to blogging. Well I am going to try to work on this…a little. No promises, but I will try.
So as a recap Thanksgiving came and went and was very enjoyable. We spent the day before Thanksgiving at mom and dads baking pies. Cameron was our little helper.

Christmas was nice. We enjoyed the company of our families. Traveling from Clinton to Woods Cross, and then back to Clearfield on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, made for a lot of driving, but well worth it.
And now you ask what did I get for Christmas welllll….drum roll please… I got a new axle. I know, I know please don’t be jealous. No really Fernando had a little mishap in the snow and ice and ended up curbing the car and having to be towed.

Needless to say the money that we had planned on spending for Christmas presents on each other went towards the deductible for the axle. Ahhhh good times. Fernando felt awful about this, he felt as if he ruined Christmas for me, but honestly I don’t feel like I missed anything whatsoever.
We had a wonderful time decorating our tree this season. I finally feel like I can buy decorations and stick with a theme and color since we have purchased our home. Being as this is our first Christmas in our home we will still need to work on adding to our decorations, all in time though. I loved my tree and was very happy with the decorations. All though Fernando said our tree was droopy.

Fernando and I enjoyed the wonderful time we had with our families and honestly wouldn’t change anything about this past Christmas…ok maybe the whole axle thing. But really other then that we had a wonderful time.
